Permanent gas
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007867
An atmospheric gas that remains in its gaseous state at normal atmospheric temperatures and pressures, meaning its boiling point is well below typical ambient conditions. These gases are not easily liquefied through pressure alone at room temperature. Nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and neon are examples of permanent gases that constitute the bulk of Earth's atmosphere.
