Phase shift
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007894
A change in the phase angle of a periodic waveform relative to a reference point or another waveform of the same frequency. It represents a temporal displacement of the wave. In atmospheric science, phase shifts in atmospheric waves can indicate changes in their propagation characteristics or interactions with the mean flow.
