Phase modulation
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007893
A type of modulation where the phase of a carrier wave is varied in proportion to the instantaneous amplitude of the modulating signal. In remote sensing, this technique can be used to encode information about atmospheric properties onto a transmitted signal. It is a method of transmitting data by altering the phase of a wave.
