Resonator

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008537

A system or device that exhibits resonance, meaning it oscillates with greater amplitude at some frequencies than at others. In atmospheric science, this concept applies to natural systems like the Earth's atmosphere, which can resonate with certain planetary wave modes. Acoustic resonators are used in some meteorological instruments to measure properties like temperature or humidity.
