Resultant wind
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008545
The vector sum of all individual wind vectors observed or calculated over a specific period or at a particular location. It represents the net direction and speed of air movement, effectively averaging out fluctuations. This differs from mean wind speed, which is a scalar average and does not account for direction.
