Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008544
A single vector that represents the combined effect of two or more individual vectors acting on a point or object. In meteorology, this concept is applied to forces such as pressure gradient force, Coriolis force, and friction, which together determine the resultant wind vector. The resultant vector is found by vector addition of all component vectors.
