Right-handed rectangular coordinates
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008575
A three-dimensional coordinate system where the x, y, and z axes are mutually perpendicular, and their orientation follows the right-hand rule. If the x-axis is rotated towards the y-axis, a right-handed screw would advance in the direction of the z-axis. This system is commonly used in atmospheric science for defining spatial positions and vector components in numerical weather prediction models and fluid dynamics.
