Cartesian coordinates
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004184
A system for specifying the position of a point in space using a set of mutually perpendicular axes, typically denoted as x, y, and z. In meteorology, these coordinates are frequently used to describe the location of weather phenomena, atmospheric models, and observational data. They provide a straightforward framework for spatial analysis.
