Seawater thermometer

A specialized thermometer designed for measuring the temperature of ocean water at or below the surface. These instruments are constructed to withstand saltwater corrosion and high pressure, often housed in a protective casing. A reversing thermometer is a type of seawater thermometer that records the temperature at a specific depth when inverted.
