Transient problem
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009755
A type of mathematical or numerical problem where the system's state changes over time, requiring the solution to be determined as a function of both space and time. In meteorology, this applies to models that simulate the evolution of weather and climate, where atmospheric variables are constantly changing. Such problems often involve solving time-dependent partial differential equations.
