Undulatus
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009880
A cloud variety characterized by a wave-like, undulating pattern arranged in layers or patches. This formation is caused by wind shear, where adjacent layers of air move at different speeds or in different directions, creating atmospheric gravity waves.
