Unfiltered model
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009881
A type of numerical weather prediction model that directly integrates the full set of primitive equations of atmospheric motion without applying any explicit filtering approximations. These models are computationally intensive but can resolve a wider range of atmospheric phenomena. They require careful treatment of high-frequency sound and gravity waves.
