Von Kármán's constant
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010056
A dimensionless empirical constant that describes the logarithmic velocity profile within the atmospheric surface layer under neutral stability conditions. It relates the mean wind speed to the height above the surface and the surface roughness. Its value is approximately 0.40 and is used in boundary layer meteorology to model turbulent transport processes.
