Logarithmic velocity profile
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007027
A theoretical description of how wind speed varies with height in the atmospheric surface layer under neutral stability conditions. It states that the mean wind speed increases logarithmically with height above the ground. This profile is governed by the surface roughness length and the friction velocity, which represents the turbulent stress at the surface.
