Wind shield

A device or structure designed to protect an instrument or area from the direct force of wind, thereby reducing turbulence and improving measurement accuracy or comfort. For meteorological instruments like rain gauges or thermometers, a wind shield minimizes errors caused by wind effects. It can also refer to a vehicle's front window.
