A protective enclosure designed to shield meteorological instruments, such as thermometers and hygrometers, from direct solar radiation, precipitation, and strong winds. It allows for accurate measurement of ambient air temperature and humidity by maintaining natural ventilation while minimizing external influences. The Stevenson screen is a widely recognized standard for housing these instruments.
