Allochthonous

Describing rock masses, sediments, or organisms that originated in a location other than where they are currently found. This displacement often occurs due to tectonic forces, such as thrust faulting, or by transport processes like turbidity currents. Allochthonous deposits contrast with autochthonous materials, which formed in place.
