Amides

Organic compounds derived from ammonia or amines, where a carbonyl group is attached to a nitrogen atom. In drilling fluids, amides are often used as corrosion inhibitors, emulsifiers, or as components in synthetic base fluids. They contribute to the thermal stability and lubricity of the drilling mud system.
