Antisqueeze

A drilling fluid additive designed to prevent or mitigate the swelling of clay minerals in shales, which can lead to borehole instability and stuck pipe. These chemicals typically work by inhibiting the absorption of water by clay particles, maintaining the integrity of the wellbore. Potassium chloride is a common antisqueeze agent.
