Bank firing
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000271
A perforating technique in which a group of guns is run together on a single trip and then all of them are fired at once, so a long interval or several zones are perforated without a separate run for each gun. It contrasts with selective firing, where guns carried on the same trip are fired one at a time. The technique relies on the guns being linked so that one initiation passes to every gun in the group.
