Bearden units of consistency
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000308
A dimensionless scale for how thick a cement slurry is, read from a pressurized consistometer that stirs the slurry with a paddle at simulated downhole temperature and pressure. Higher readings mean a thicker slurry, and the scale is written Bc. Thickening time for a cement job is conventionally the time to reach 70 Bc, with about 100 Bc treated as the limit of pumpability.
