Big hole charge

A specialized shaped charge designed to create a larger-than-average perforation tunnel in the casing and surrounding formation. These charges are used when maximum flow area is desired, such as in gravel pack completions or for high-rate production wells. The resulting hole diameter can be significantly larger than that produced by standard charges.
