Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000397

A high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) steel cylinder used for static aging tests on drilling fluid samples to simulate downhole conditions. The sealed container, also known as an aging cell, is placed in an oven to evaluate the stability of mud properties like rheology and fluid loss over time. Standard aging tests are conducted for 16 hours at a specified temperature, such as 150°F (66°C) or higher for deep wells.
