Static aging test

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003589

A laboratory procedure to evaluate the thermal stability of drilling fluids or cement slurries by subjecting them to elevated temperatures and pressures without agitation. This test simulates downhole conditions where fluids remain stationary for extended periods, assessing changes in rheology, fluid loss, and other properties. The results indicate the fluid's ability to withstand thermal degradation during drilling interruptions or cement setting.
