Carbonate test
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000549
A chemical analysis performed on drilling fluid to quantify the concentration of carbonate ions. This test involves acid titration of a fluid sample to a specific pH endpoint, which indicates the amount of carbonate and bicarbonate present. The results are expressed as milligrams per liter (mg/L) equivalent of calcium carbonate.
