Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000556
A conical receptacle machined into the top of a casing head or spool, designed to receive and support the slips that hold the casing string in place. It provides a secure seat for the slips, transferring the weight of the casing to the wellhead assembly. The bowl's precise taper matches the slips to distribute the load evenly.
