CMC-Lo Vis
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000716
A low-viscosity grade of carboxymethyl cellulose, primarily used in water-based drilling fluids for fluid loss control with minimal impact on mud viscosity. It forms a thin, impermeable filter cake on the wellbore wall, reducing fluid invasion into formations. CMC-Lo Vis is suitable for applications where viscosity increase is undesirable.
