CMC-LVT
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000717
A low-viscosity grade of technical-grade carboxymethylcellulose, where the letter T marks the less purified commercial grade and not a temperature rating. It is added to water-based muds mainly to reduce filtrate loss while adding little viscosity. Its counterpart for raising viscosity is the high-viscosity technical grade, CMC-HVT.
