CMHEC
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000718
Carboxymethyl hydroxyethyl cellulose, a modified cellulosic polymer used as a viscosifier and fluid loss control agent in water-based drilling fluids. It offers improved temperature stability and salt tolerance compared to some other cellulosic polymers. CMHEC is effective in a range of mud systems, providing good rheological properties and filter cake quality.
