Coherence filtering
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000732
A seismic processing technique that enhances coherent signals and suppresses incoherent noise by analyzing the similarity of waveforms across multiple traces. This filter is applied to improve the signal-to-noise ratio and to highlight geological features such as faults and channels. It is particularly effective in noisy seismic data.
