Coherent detection
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000735
A signal processing method that uses a reference signal to extract a desired signal from noisy data, based on their phase relationship. In seismic processing, this technique can be applied to enhance weak reflections or to remove specific types of coherent noise. It requires knowledge of the reference signal's characteristics.
