Conformable

Describing rock layers that lie one above another in an unbroken sequence, deposited continuously without interruption. This indicates that no major erosional events or tectonic disturbances occurred between the deposition of the successive beds. Conformable contacts are common in stable sedimentary basins where deposition proceeded steadily over long periods.
