Dehydrate

To remove water, typically in vapor form, from a gas or liquid stream in production facilities. This process prevents hydrate formation, corrosion, and other operational problems caused by free water or water vapor. Glycol dehydration units, using triethylene glycol (TEG), are a common method for removing water from natural gas to meet pipeline specifications.
