Dehydrator

A piece of equipment used to remove water vapor from natural gas or liquid hydrocarbon streams. Common types include glycol dehydrators, which use a liquid desiccant, and dry-bed dehydrators, which employ solid desiccants. Removing water prevents hydrate formation and corrosion in pipelines and processing facilities.
