Solid desiccant
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003500
A granular material, such as silica gel, activated alumina, or molecular sieves, used to adsorb water vapor from natural gas or other gas streams. The desiccant is packed into towers, and the wet gas flows through it, with the water molecules adhering to the desiccant's surface. Once saturated, the desiccant is regenerated by heating or depressurization.
