Droop
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001199
A characteristic of a pressure regulator or control system where the outlet pressure or controlled variable decreases as the flow rate or load increases. This deviation from the setpoint is a common phenomenon in proportional control systems without integral action. Minimizing droop is often a design consideration for stable and accurate process control.
