Eccentricity

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001240

The state or degree of being off-center, particularly when one circular object is placed within another. In drilling, it quantifies how far the inner pipe, such as casing or drill pipe, is from the center of the outer pipe or borehole. High eccentricity can lead to uneven cement distribution around the casing, potentially compromising zonal isolation.
