Electromagnetic method

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001282

A class of geophysical techniques that use the propagation and interaction of electromagnetic fields to investigate the electrical properties of the subsurface. These methods involve transmitting an electromagnetic signal and measuring the induced secondary fields or changes in the primary field. They are used for mapping conductive bodies, groundwater, and geothermal resources.
