Time-domain electromagnetic method
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003851
A geophysical technique that measures the transient decay of secondary electromagnetic fields induced in the Earth after a primary current is abruptly turned off. This method provides information about the electrical conductivity distribution of the subsurface, which is useful for mapping geological structures, groundwater, and mineral deposits. It is often abbreviated as TDEM or TEM.
