Equalizing valve

A small valve designed to balance pressure across a downhole tool or component before it is opened or retrieved. This prevents sudden pressure differentials that could damage equipment or cause uncontrolled fluid flow. It is commonly found on packers, testing tools, and certain types of safety valves.
