Foam breaker

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001522

A chemical additive designed to eliminate or reduce the formation of foam in drilling fluids. Foam can interfere with mud pump efficiency, solids control equipment, and accurate mud property measurements. These agents work by reducing the surface tension of the liquid, causing bubbles to collapse.
