Lateral
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002127
A type of resistivity logging tool that measures the resistivity of the formation by inducing current into the formation and measuring the potential difference at a distant electrode. These tools are designed to provide deep investigation into the formation, minimizing the effects of the invaded zone. Lateral logs are particularly effective in high-resistivity formations.
