Magnetic resonance
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002257
A logging technique that measures the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) properties of fluids within reservoir rocks. It provides direct measurements of pore size distribution, irreducible water saturation, and permeability. This method differentiates between bound and free fluids, offering insights into reservoir quality that are complementary to conventional porosity logs.
