Mobility control
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002404
The process of adjusting the relative mobilities of injected and reservoir fluids to improve sweep efficiency during enhanced oil recovery. This is achieved by increasing the viscosity of the injected fluid or reducing the permeability of the reservoir rock. Polymer flooding is a common method for achieving mobility control.
