Polyacrylamide
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002845
A synthetic polymer used in enhanced oil recovery as a mobility control agent in polymer flooding. It increases the viscosity of injected water, improving sweep efficiency by reducing the mobility ratio between the injected fluid and the reservoir oil. This polymer is also employed as a flocculant in water treatment processes.
