Native-solids mud

A drilling fluid where the primary solid content consists of drilled formation cuttings rather than intentionally added commercial weighting agents or viscosifiers. This type of mud relies on the natural solids to build viscosity and fluid loss control. It is often used in shallow drilling or when drilling through stable formations.
