Neat cement

A basic cement slurry composed solely of Portland cement and water, without any additives. This mixture is used for primary cementing operations to bond casing to the formation and isolate different zones. Neat cement provides a strong, impermeable barrier but may have slower setting times or higher fluid loss compared to modified slurries.
