Water-to-cement ratio
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004115
The proportion of water to dry cement by weight in a cement slurry used for wellbore cementing operations. This ratio significantly influences the strength, permeability, and setting time of the hardened cement. A lower ratio generally results in higher compressive strength but can reduce pumpability.
