Plunger lift
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002830
An artificial lift method that uses a free-traveling piston, or plunger, to remove accumulated liquids from the wellbore of a gas well. The plunger cycles up and down the tubing string, driven by gas pressure, to push fluid slugs to the surface. This method is effective in wells with sufficient gas volume and pressure to operate the plunger.
