Polymer plug

A temporary or permanent barrier created in a wellbore using a viscous polymer solution that sets or cross-links to form a solid or semi-solid mass. These plugs are used to divert fluids, isolate zones, or control unwanted water or gas production. The setting time and strength of the plug can be engineered for specific applications.
